2 Free Events Sponsored by Pilates Method Alliance

For those who might be interested, PMA is sponsoring 2 free events.  One is for the PMA Teacher Training Summit and the other is for Programming Pilates for Youth.

Excellent teaching and a great deal of benefit comes from attending this training.  Also, CECs are given for these courses.  Read below to learn more.

Admission to the PMA's Teacher Training Summit is FREE. The Summits are intended for those involved in Pilates teacher training
- school directors, teacher trainers and school administrators, within the global Pilates community, regardless of PMA membership status. Attendees will earn 12 CECs.

The 2013 Summit continues the work begun at the 2011 Summit, specifically the exploration of the components of teacher training programs. Our intention is to agree upon a template delineating the minimum essential components required for comprehensive Pilates teacher training.

The Summit investigation involves gathering data from a large number of Pilates schools from around the world in order to reveal to the delegates a suggested minimum template for teacher training, as drawn from the data. The delegates will then have the opportunity to review the proposal and make whatever changes they deem appropriate. The resultant template will then be shared with a larger Pilates community.

The Programming Pilates for Youth course has been created by the PMA® Pilates Youth Program Committee for teacher trainers, to facilitate the growing interest and need for teaching material and safety guidelines to appropriately work with the youth of our communities. The course begins on Thursday, June 6 (full day) and Friday June 7 (1/2 day) at the same location as the 3rd Teacher Training Summit. This course is for teacher trainers involved in Pilates-specific curriculum development and offers PMA 12 Continuing Education Credits (CECs).

Should you be in attendance in one of these training courses, please let your fellow Pilates pals know what you thought.  Share your experience with us here at www.pilatespal.com/.
